The Meridell Rubbish Dump was created on 14th July, 2003 and is situated right outside of Meri Acres Farm. It bears some similarities to the Money Tree in that it is a place to get free items, said to be donated by others. In the case of the Rubbish Dump however, the donors are not users, but inhabitants of Neopia. Among these donors are King Skarl and the Dung Faerie.

There's also a small joke that usually causes users new to the Rubbish Dump to slightly panic. Occasionally, an item at the Rubbish Dump is claimed to be donated by a user (meaning also one's own username can be claimed to be the donor) who is refreshing at the Rubbish Dump. Of course, that user never donated anything to the Rubbish Dump, if only because it's impossible.
What Was The True Reason For Building Obelisks? It seems this reason is obscure. They were also commonly raised in pairs. Sutherland - AncientPages.com - History of powerful gigantic shafts of polished granite – known as obelisk – is shrouded in mystery. The obelisk is a monolithic, four-sided piece of stone, placed upright and ending with a pointed top, which forms a small pyramid known as a pyramidion.Obelisks were symbols of the solar god Ra in ancient Egypt and were often covered with gold. They were used in ancient Egypt as monuments and for other purposes, such for example, to praise pharaohs for their victorious battles,“The obelisk was a focal point that gave the population heart and connection to their solar deity, the god Ra” (Ch.
Dunn)It is believed that the oldest one is probably the obelisk at Abusir, erected during the reign of pharaoh Niuserre (2249-2417 BC), who was a successful builder and the sixth ruler of the Fifth Dynasty during the Old Kingdom period.
What is a transfer station. A transfer station is a place that accepts and treats waste before bringing it to a landfill or recycling facility. Waste collectors and the public can bring waste items not suitable for kerbside collection to transfer stations. I've seen a few items in the rubbish dump. I missed out on a dung slushie last week, but I ended up landing a sweet How its Dung book the day after. Besides that, I most commonly see UFFH and healing potions come up more often than say a codestone or other rarer prizes.
Trivia[edit]
- Items donated or discarded by neopians can never end up at the Meridell Rubbish Dump. Anything donated goes to the Money Tree and anything discarded disappears permanently.
